Position Summary:

The Manager, Commercial Analytics & Insights develops and delivers business insights for the Ophthalmology BU, with a strong focus on translating and enhancing the utilization of data and analytics. This position will be instrumental in the development and ongoing tracking of KPIs and business metrics and by leveraging internal and external data sources and utilizing the most relevant visualization and reporting tools.

Responsibilities:
  • Ownership over production, review, and summary of Monthly & Quarterly Business Review insights for the Ophthalmology BU
  • Build analytics solutions and KPIs that achieve impact at scale; requires expertise and focus on answering the most critical and impactful questions to help inform the strategy of the business and drive operational efficiency
  • Serve as the key reporting analytics business partner to management and brand leadership, communicating key insights and performing rigorous analyses to enable data driven decisions; drive field-based and management level reporting and KPIs to better inform performance
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and leverage data from diverse sources and use insights to better influence overall success; facilitate collective understanding of available data, analyses, and brand performance
  • Develop, extend, and improve analytics processes to ensure consistent delivery of actionable data and insights to stakeholders and decision makers
  • Expand data quality processes, maintaining a streamlined approach to monitor, quality check and alert
  • Support ad hoc projects and tasks as needed


Qualifications and Skills Required:
  • BA/BS required
  • 5+ years of experience in finance, data analysis, strategy consulting or other quantitative fields
  • Demonstrated success developing and presenting solutions to complex business situations, supported by sound and thorough analytics
  • Highly proficient analytical and software skills aimed at data analysis
  • Demonstrated proficiency in data management and data platforms (such as Microsoft SQL Server), statistical modeling packages (such as Python, SAS, and/or, R) and general office productivity software (such as Microsoft Office)
  • Experience with Business Intelligence tools (PowerBI, Tableau, etc) preferred but not required
  • Strong ability to effectively analyze/interpret marketing data to identify risks and opportunities to the company
  • High degree of independence and exceptional work ethic
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Professional, proactive demeanor
  • Strong interpersonal skills
