The Opportunity:

This position is in Counseling and Psychologist Services and supports UCF student's mental health by providing primarily clinical services, which includes initial assessments, individual and group counseling, crisis management, consultation to parents, faculty, staff and students.

Responsibilities:

Provide (in-person or tele-mental health) short-term culturally sensitive initial assessments, triage, individual and group therapy and consultation and referral services to diverse currently enrolled UCF students and in extenuating circumstances, non-enrolled and/or non-students along with other University community members. Provide crisis intervention, management and follow up services and may initiate and authorize involuntary examination (Baker Act) procedures in accordance with statute 394.463, Florida Mental Health Act. If unlicensed, clinician will receive supervision by licensed therapist.

Minimum Qualifications:

Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family or Rehabilitation Counseling at an accredited college or university by an accrediting agency approved by the US Department of Education and be licensable.

Preferred Qualifications:

Able to relate to college students and be a strong clinical generalist.
