IT Business Analyst Intern - Summer 2027

Job Description:

We are currently seeking a IT Business Analyst Intern for the IT department located in our Dallas, TX office. This is a paid summer internship opportunity for Summer 2027.

Our team manages strategic IT projects and business programs, and is responsible for the financial management of IT, including budgets. As an intern, you will work alongside project managers and see how technology investments are planned, tracked, and funded. You will support executive reporting, project delivery, and budget analysis, and leave with practical experience in project management and IT finance.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain project schedules, status reports, and RAID logs (risks, assumptions, issues, dependencies)
• Manage a small IT project through delivery, under the mentorship of a senior project manager
• Support executive reporting and dashboards
• Assist with IT budget tracking, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Support invoice and purchase tracking against budgets

Required Degree Background:

• Rising junior or senior pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in MIS, Information Systems, IT, or Business with a finance/IT focus
• Minimum of 3.0 grade point average

Required Skills/Knowledge:

• Knowledge of modern AI tools, to include Claude and Microsoft Copilot
• Experience working in applications such as Excel and PowerPoint; Power BI or Smartsheet a plus
• Base understanding of project management methodologies is a plus
