Symetra is seeking a Unit Manager to join our Retirement New Business team! About the role As a first-level people leader, the Retirement Unit Manager is accountable for employee performance, workforce planning, customer issue resolution, and operational excellence. This role will be responsible for balancing people leadership and daily work among various projects and initiatives. People leadership entails coaching, leading, supervising, and developing employees as well as being a positive influence and role model. The daily work oversight includes SLA management, understanding application handoffs and workflows (within and external to the immediate team), and escalation handling. It is key that someone interested in this role is solution minded, is curious and collaborative, enjoys thinking outside the box, and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment!
