Position Title: Mixer Operator
Wage: $21.00+/hour + Shift differential Shift: 3rd, Train on 1st shift Hours: 11:00pm-7:30am Monday-Friday QPS Employment Group is hiring a Mixer Operator for a company in Schaumburg, IL. This is a potential to hire opportunity on 3rd shift. Mixer Operator Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Mix batches of printing ink according to supervisor instructions and production requirements - Provide batch samples to Quality Control (QC) for testing and make adjustments as directed - Monitor and record batch temperatures as needed - Transport completed batches to designated mill staging areas - Properly dispose of used solvent and notify the supervisor when completed - Label solvent tubs used for mixer cleaning as "Flammable" and ensure they remain properly grounded - Perform routine mixer maintenance, including lubrication, and report mechanical issues to the supervisor - Change mixer blades as needed - Wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE), including dust masks, gloves, aprons, and safety glasses - Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area Mixer Operator Requirements: - At least 3 months of related work experience - Basic math and computer skills - Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions - Reliable attendance and punctuality - Ability to work the assigned 3rd shift schedule and overtime as needed - Ability to lift up to 50 pounds - Willingness to learn mill machine operation and participate in TPM activities - Ability to work effectively as part of a team - High school diploma or GED preferred - Previous mixing, milling, or pump filter experience preferred - Experience in the printing ink industry preferred - Forklift experience; training may be available for candidates without experience - Experience with Autonomous Maintenance (AM) and equipment upkeep preferred QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
