Position Title: Sanitation Tech
Wage: $23.00/hour Shift: 3rd Hours: 9:00pm - 5:00am QPS Employment Group is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Sanitation Technician with a background in industrial or food manufacturing sanitation. This position in Ixonia, WI is ideal for candidates who have experience cleaning and sanitizing production equipment, food processing areas, and manufacturing facilities while following strict food safety and sanitation standards. This is not a general housekeeping position. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of industrial sanitation procedures, proper cleaning and sanitizing methods, and the importance of preventing contamination in a food manufacturing environment. The Sanitation Technician will be responsible for ensuring production equipment and work areas are thoroughly cleaned, sanitized, and ready for the next day's operations. Sanitation Tech Responsibilities: - Perform industrial sanitation and deep-cleaning procedures on production equipment, machinery, and food manufacturing areas - Clean and sanitize production lines, floors, walls, pipes, beams, and other facility surfaces according to established sanitation procedures - Remove product residue, buildup, and other contaminants from equipment and production areas - Clean and sanitize forklifts, pallet jacks, cooler racking, and other equipment as required - Follow established sanitation procedures, food safety standards, and company policies to prevent cross-contamination - Use appropriate cleaning and sanitizing chemicals, tools, and equipment according to safety guidelines - Ensure all production lines, equipment, and work areas are properly cleaned and restored before the next shift begins - Inspect cleaned areas and equipment to ensure sanitation standards have been met - Identify and report sanitation concerns, equipment issues, or potential food safety hazards to management - Maintain compliance with all sanitation, quality, and personnel safety requirements Requirements for Sanitation Tech: - Previous industrial sanitation or food manufacturing sanitation experience strongly preferred - Experience cleaning and sanitizing production equipment, machinery, or food processing areas is highly desirable - Knowledge of sanitation procedures, food safety practices, and contamination prevention is a plus - Ability to follow detailed cleaning procedures and sanitation checklists - Ability to safely handle cleaning chemicals and operate sanitation equipment - High school diploma or GED preferred/required, depending on position requirements - Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers and management - Basic math skills, including addition and subtraction - Reliable attendance and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment - Frequent bending, twisting, reaching, pushing, and pulling - Frequent lifting of up to 25 lbs throughout the shift - Occasional lifting of up to 40 lbs - Ability to stand and remain active for extended periods - Ability to perform repetitive cleaning and sanitation tasks throughout the shift IND103 QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
