Location: Manassas, VA
Schedule/Shift: Monday through Saturday; currently nights, 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
Pay: $35.00 to $45.00 per hour

Job Summary

The Data Center Superintendent oversees field crews and daily structured cabling activities at a large colocation data center. This hands-on role combines team leadership with fiber and copper cable installation, dressing, termination, testing, patching, and labeling. The position requires extensive data center fiber experience, a strong work ethic, and an interest in a long-term assignment.

Job Responsibilities

• Oversee daily field activities and assign tasks to support project schedules.
• Lead and support technicians performing structured cabling and fiber installations.
• Perform hands-on cable pulling, dressing, termination, testing, patching, and labeling.
• Monitor installation quality and ensure work meets project specifications.
• Track crew progress and communicate project needs, issues, and priorities.
• Reinforce site safety procedures and maintain an organized work environment.
• Assist with troubleshooting cabling and fiber installation issues.

Job Requirements

• Extensive fiber installation experience within data center environments.
• Experience leading field crews and coordinating daily cabling activities.
• Hands-on experience pulling, dressing, terminating, testing, patching, and labeling cabling.
• Fiber splicing experience preferred.
• Ability to balance crew supervision with hands-on installation work.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Availability to work Monday through Saturday on the current night shift schedule.
• Dependable attendance and interest in a long-term assignment.
