Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (Cath Lab) Location: Pearland, TX Schedule/Shift: Day shift, five 8-hour shifts; one week of on-call coverage per month Position Overview Support cardiac catheterization laboratory procedures in a setting with five recovery bays. The role requires at least two years of cardiac catheterization laboratory experience and availability for on-call coverage. Work with a multidisciplinary team using Client and Philips equipment and Meditech and MERGE documentation systems, with floating to Interventional Radiology as needed. Job Responsibilities Support left and right heart catheterizations, percutaneous coronary interventions, percutaneous transluminal angioplasty, and stenting procedures. Assist with procedures involving Impella devices, intra-aortic balloon pumps, permanent pacemakers, and implantable cardioverter-defibrillators. Support peripheral angiograms, electrophysiology studies, thrombectomy, laser procedures, and directional atherectomy. Assist with interventional radiology procedures and float to Interventional Radiology as needed. Use Client and Philips equipment within the scope of the assigned role. Maintain accurate documentation using Meditech and MERGE. Participate in one week of on-call coverage per month. Collaborate with team members and maintain a calm, adaptable approach. Job Requirements At least two years of cardiac catheterization laboratory experience. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification. Ability to participate in the required on-call rotation. Additional Job Details Unit includes five recovery bays and eight full-time equivalent staff members. Reported staffing ratios are one staff member per procedural room and one staff member for five recovery patients. Navy scrubs are provided. About Equiliem Equiliem believes in empowering success.
