GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:

The position is responsible for preparing and installing electrical wiring of signal and power circuits for shelters to achieve quality and integrity of products at the lowest possible cost. The E-FSR will also examine defective or problematic units shipped to customers to carry out specific repairs.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Uses written instructions, prints, and schematics as well as verbal instructions to prepare, locate and install wiring circuits, harnesses, cable assemblies, electrical sub-assemblies, and accessories in shelter systems. This includes both benchwork and shelter installations.
• Uses test equipment (i.e., fixed gages, power supplies, multi-meters) to perform continuity and troubleshoot problems on electrical sub-assemblies, bench, and shelter wiring installations. This may include live circuits.
• Use various tools, including, but not limited to, electric/ pneumatic drills, rivet poppers, hand/ pneumatic wire terminal crimpers, and Artos and Komax wire cutting and stripping machines.
• Will be responsible for repairing units at the plant and customer locations, with the ability to travel domestically and internationally on a regular basis and on short notice as required.

• Knowledge of single-phase (120/220v) and three-phase electrical wiring across various voltage applications, including control circuit wiring required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3+ years of on-the-job experience in electrical assembly.
• The individual must obtain IPC J-STD, IPC-610, and IPC/WHMA-620 certifications.
• A vocational degree in electronics is preferred.
• Technical training and commercial/industrial wiring experience is preferred.

WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Shop floor environment / shared workbench or workstation.
• Ability to stand and sit for long periods.
• Ability to perform repetitive motion (rotating wrists, keyboarding, using small/large tools).
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to tolerate constant noise (i.e., machine motors).
• Ability to work safely in the presence of hazardous chemicals and hazardous conditions.
• Ability to follow standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: Yes, domestic, and international as necessary; ability to obtain and maintain a passport required.
