Position Title: Equipment Operator/Forklift Operator
Wage: $20.00/hour Shift: 1st Hours: 6:00am-2:30pm Monday-Friday Join a fast-paced warehouse team where you'll transport materials, operate a forklift as needed, and assist with loading and unloading incoming containers. This position will not be on the forklift full-time-you will also be required to load and unload materials by hand. You'll use RF scanning equipment to track inventory, perform manual counts, complete daily equipment inspections, and maintain a clean and safe work area. Equipment Operator/Forklift Operator Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Operate a forklift as needed; this position will not be on the forklift full-time - Load and unload materials by hand as part of daily warehouse duties - Transport materials to and from designated locations using appropriate equipment - Unload incoming containers at the distribution center - Utilize RF scanning equipment to accurately record inventory transactions - Perform manual inventory counts as needed to ensure inventory accuracy - Conduct daily pre-shift equipment inspections and report any damage or issues to the Supervisor - Report RF equipment malfunctions promptly - Maintain a clean, organized, and safe equipment and work area Equipment Operator/Forklift Operator Requirements: - High school diploma or equivalent - Minimum of 3 years of experience operating warehouse equipment - Must pass written and practical forklift certification tests - Ability to communicate clearly and respond to questions - Basic arithmetic skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) - Regularly stand, lift, and reach - Occasionally walk, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, and communicate - Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds - Requires close and distance vision QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
