CNC Machinist - (Direct Hire)
Pay: $32.87/hr + $2.00 Shift Differential ($34.87/hr Total)
Schedule: Train on 1st Shift, then move to 2nd Shift: 3:30 PM - 11:55 PM
Overtime: Frequently Available (Not Mandatory) Education Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, blueprint reading, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of CNC machining, machine setup, and operation experience required.
- Experience operating and setting up CNC mills and/or lathes.
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and manufacturing documentation.
- Working knowledge of GD&T required.
- Experience using precision measuring instruments, including calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other inspection tools.
- Strong math, communication, and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
Physical Capabilities
- Ability to stand for the duration of an 8+ hour shift.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Frequent walking, bending, reaching, and handling of materials, tooling, and production components.
- Ability to safely work around manufacturing equipment while wearing required PPE, including steel-toe footwear.
Job Duties
- Set up and operate CNC and manual machining equipment according to work instructions and production requirements.
- Load and unload raw materials, tooling, and finished components.
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders to produce quality parts.
- Verify dimensional accuracy using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring equipment.
- Perform tool changes, machine adjustments, and basic preventative maintenance.
- Monitor machine performance and product quality to ensure specifications are met.
- Identify and report equipment, quality, tooling, and safety concerns.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
