Job Description
Required Qualifications


  • Must hold a current FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification and qualify at the AMT level or higher.



  • Minimum of one year of relevant experience in aircraft maintenance, component repair, or a related aviation field.



  • Valid driver's license required.



  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Aeronautics, Business Administration, or equivalent work experience is highly preferred.



  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with customer and repair supplier contractual obligations.



  • Ability to identify and implement cost-saving opportunities within the sourcing and repair processes.



  • Proficiency in monitoring customer satisfaction and maintaining high service standards.



  • Demonstrated commitment to safety and compliance with operational procedures.



Responsibilities


  • Develop work scopes and coordinate repairs with OEMs and third-party repair suppliers for expendable, recoverable, rotable, and key repairable components.



  • Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, lead AMTs, AMTs, planners, CDMG, CCC personnel, and repair vendors to ensure work scopes meet applicable compliance, airworthiness, and configuration requirements.



  • Perform receiving inspections on repaired and overhauled components to determine serviceability before returning them to stock.



  • Coordinate components sent to external repair agencies, including:




    • Initiating repair orders and processing non-stock items.



    • Resolving issues and updating existing purchase orders.



    • Communicating with suppliers and verifying repair quotations and invoice details.




  • Perform general visual inspections of serviceable components and sign off on applicable work documents and records, including FAA Form 8130-3 tags, as authorized.



  • Comply with applicable drug-testing requirements associated with this safety-sensitive function.



  • Support and implement continuous improvement initiatives, including High Performance Work (HPW), LEAN, Six Sigma, and 5S.



  • Contribute to business unit strategies by supporting MRO insourcing initiatives and the development and execution of repair supplier contracts.



  • Monitor performance metrics and support the achievement of Technical Operations (Tech Ops) goals and objectives.
