Human Resource Management & Development (
HRMD) is made up of several departments that serve as advocates for the GW community and consistently provide discreet, valuable and personalized service that is timely and responsive.
HRMD helps GW to maintain a diverse workforce of the highest caliber and to support employees in their roles within the university.
Reporting to the Manager, People Services Center, this Senior HR Associate position works as a part of a specialized team that executes effective and efficient employee lifecycle actions. The core responsibilities of this role are to partner with HR Managers and Directors to intake and initiate employee lifecycle and recruitment actions, to partner with other HR teams to execute clean actions and exchange feedback, and to contribute to the continual development and improvement of support resources.
Responsibilities include:
Recruitment:
- Send out email notification to HRD/HDM that posting is live
- Review internal equity for the posted position.
- Candidate qualification review - Tier II will review quals and appropriate e-range of hire
- Sending out notifications to the HRD/HRM of recruitment pools that have been open over 3 days and have over 30 applicants
- Skills Survey - submitting, reviewing and forwarding to HRD/HRM
Client Facing Support:
- Process all termination tickets submitted in Remedy
- Submitting exit survey email to employee
- I-9 reports and follow-up
- Limited Term/Temp Wage Status updates for HRM/HRD
HRSD Project Support Duties:
- Equity review
- Data Clean up support
- Overpayment process emails
Senior HR Associates will serve as the floaters for Remedy Tickets and/or may own specific types of transactional items due to client interface.
Performs other related duties as assigned. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position. |
| Minimum Qualifications: |
Qualified candidates will hold a Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization plus 1 year of relevant experience, or, a Master's degree in a relevant area of study. Degree must be conferred by the start date of the position. Degree requirements may be substituted with an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. |
