TITLE: Safety Coordinator C
POSITION OBJECTIVE: The Inteplast Group Safety Coordinator C is a non-supervisor entry level roll. This position reports directly to the Safety Section Manager and at times may receive direction from the Assistant Manager. Safety Coordinator C supports office and data entry job duties with a limited roll helping conduct hearing exams. This position does not make any regulatory determinations or recommendations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or GED required
- 1 year of safety experience in manufacturing or industrial environments
- Working knowledge of OSHA 1910 which includes but, not limited to energy control (LOTO), forklift safety, and machine guarding
- Ability to work with Word, Excel, Power Point and Share Points
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Preferred Qualifications or ability to obtain
- Occupational Hearing Conservation Certification
- Familiarity with Share Point systems and reporting tools
- Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary.
- Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide general clerical and administrative support to the Safety Department.
- Perform routine data entry and maintain safety-related electronic and paper records.
- File, scan, organize, and retrieve safety documentation.
- Prepare forms, reports, sign-in sheets, training rosters, labels, and other departmental documents.
- Help maintain inventories of Safety Department supplies, forms, PPE, and training materials.
- Assist with maintaining employee safety training and hearing conservation records and documentation.
- Refer abnormal results, employee concerns, testing issues, or questions to qualified Safety or Occupational Health personnel.
- Enter completed training information into applicable databases or tracking systems.
- Assist with scheduling employees for safety training, hearing exams and other required appointments.
- Maintain departmental calendars, schedules, and booking business trips with all applicable accommodations.
- Copy, assemble, and distribute safety-related materials as directed.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to walk manufacturing floors for extended periods
- Lift up to 40 lbs.
- Work in hot, humid, or noisy environments
- Ability to respond to emergency situations
