Position Summary:

The Mixing Operator produces rubber compounds by operating mixing equipment, completing the compound finishing process, and packing finished material into gaylords. This role follows approved work instructions to meet safety, quality, traceability, and production requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare the mixer and verify materials, equipment settings, and documentation before starting each batch.
  • Load materials and operate the mixer according to approved recipes and work instructions.
  • Monitor mixing conditions and report process abnormalities, equipment issues, or material discrepancies.
  • Complete required finishing steps to prepare the compound for packing.
  • Inspect material during production and identify potential quality concerns.
  • Pack finished compound into gaylords according to packaging requirements.
  • Label and document each batch accurately to maintain material identification and traceability.
  • Record production quantities, scrap, downtime, and other required information.
  • Clean equipment and work areas between batches as required to prevent contamination or material mix-ups.
  • Follow safe material handling practices and use required personal protective equipment.
  • Work with Quality, Maintenance, and leadership to resolve issues and improve the process.

Must Have:

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Manufacturing or machine operation experience preferred; rubber mixing experience is a plus.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and work effectively and with other team members.
  • Willingness to learn mixing equipment, material handling requirements, and quality procedures.


Salary Range: $21.00 -$26.00
