JOB SUMMARY Central Power Systems & Services is seeking a motivated, mechanically inclined Machine Operator to join our growing Generator Manufacturing Division. All Machine Operators begin by learning and operating press brake equipment, developing a strong foundation in precision metal fabrication, machine operation, and quality standards. As employees gain experience, demonstrate proficiency, and expand their technical skills, they will have opportunities to advance into operating our Salvagnini automated sheet metal fabrication equipment and other advanced manufacturing machinery. In this role, you will be responsible for producing high-quality metal components used in the manufacturing of industrial power generation equipment. This includes interpreting shop drawings, operating machinery, verifying measurements, and ensuring finished products meet established quality standards. The ideal candidate has mechanical aptitude, strong attention to detail, and a willingness to learn. Previous machine operating or metal fabrication experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right individual who demonstrates dependability, a strong work ethic, and a desire to grow. WORK CONDITIONS Physical Demands / Work Environment This position regularly requires walking, standing, sitting, stooping, bending, kneeling, and climbing stairs. It may also require pushing, pulling, twisting, and lifting 50+ pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation. Work is performed in an industrial manufacturing environment that may include exposure to welding fumes, sparks, heat, smoke, dust, noise, moving equipment, chemicals, and varying temperatures. Employees are required to follow all established safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
