Hosokawa provides size reduction systems and powder processing solutions for chemical, pharmaceutical, food, mineral, plastics, and cosmetic applications. Throughout our history, we have led the industry in coarse to ultra-fine grinding, classification, mixing, drying, containment, compaction, and analytical equipment.

The Talent Acquisition and Employee Development Manager is responsible for leading the organization's recruitment, workforce planning, onboarding, and employee development programs. This role partners business leaders to identify talent needs, attract qualified candidates, deliver a positive candidate and new-hire experience, and support employee growth through training, career development, and engagement initiatives. The Manager also oversees the talent acquisition budget and supports the HR technology used for recruiting and onboarding. Through sourcing strategies, employer branding, and talent development programs, the Manager strengthens the employee experience, supports retention, and builds a pipeline of talent for the organization's future needs.

Essential Duties:

Coordinate interviews, gather feedback, and work with hiring managers to make timely hiring decisions. Keep candidates informed throughout the process and maintain accurate applicant records and disposition reasons.

Manage the talent acquisition budget for job boards, sourcing tools, recruitment events, and agency services. Track spending, review vendor proposals, and recommend how to use recruiting funds.

Partner with HR and managers to identify training needs, coordinate development opportunities, and support career growth and retention efforts.

Support OFCCP reporting and outreach, including documentation of recruitment activity.

Participate in the compensation process by reviewing proposed pay ranges, available market data, and candidate expectations. Provide input to HR and hiring managers on offers and raise pay concerns that come up during recruitment.

Prepare offer letters and extend offers to select candidates. Coordinate background checks, drug screens, and other pre-employment steps, working with HR on results that need review.

Manage and improve the new-hire onboarding process. Support the ADP WFN suite, including recruiting, onboarding, reporting, system updates, and training for hiring managers and HR staff.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Sociology, or a related field.

5+ years of experience in recruiting, onboarding, employee development, or a related role.

Experience managing full-cycle recruiting and using a range of interview and candidate evaluation methods.

Experience using LinkedIn recruiting tools to proactively source candidates.

10+ years of experience working with applicant tracking systems.

Experience documenting processes and staying current with recruiting practices and industry trends.

Strong interpersonal, communication, organization, relationship-building, and follow-up skills.

Experience with HR systems and Microsoft Office.

Preferred Qualifications:

10+ years of experience in talent acquisition, onboarding, employee development, or a related role.

Strong knowledge of employment laws, recruiting practices, and candidate engagement strategies.

Experience sourcing candidates through social media, resume databases, and professional networks.

5+ years of experience supporting employer branding through job postings, career site content, recruitment campaigns, or outreach.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to work at a computer for extended periods.

Ability to move throughout the workplace and visit various departments as needed.

Ability to attend recruiting events and occasionally lift or move materials weighing up to 15 pounds, such as job fair supplies.

Salary/Rate Range:

$80,099 -$143,477

Salaries/Rates will vary and may be above or below this rate commensurate with several factors including experience, education, training, location, and merit.
