Learn More About EnerSys Job Purpose The Business Development Manager will oversee the direction of business development, strategic planning, and pricing activities. The position is focused on Aerospace & Defense and Commercial Markets associated with thermal batteries, liquid reserve batteries, development programs, and government funded projects. The Business Development Manager will work closely with program management, finance, legal, and engineering to support sales, program costing/pricing, and managing the contractual relationships with the customer. This position has direct contact with customers, business unit leadership, and corporate executives and is considered a lead role in the decision making for the local business. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Manage sales for liquid reserve, thermals, and development programs to support the Munitions business Develop and establish relationships with the U.S. Government and key DoD Prime contractors (i.e. Raytheon, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, Boeing, etc). Coordinate connections between key customers, management, and the EnerSys executive team. Create and maintain a 5-year strategic plan and business roadmap. Manage the overall sales, costing, pricing, and negotiation process. Work with program management to establish consistent customer messaging related to all compliance related communications. Qualifications A bachelor's degree with at least 5 years of sales and/or government contracting experience. Advanced degree preferrable (MBA, finance, etc). Understanding of FAR 15 and 52. Understanding of ITAR and export control compliance. General Job Requirements This position will work in an office setting, expect minimal physical demands.
