The Role: The Odom Corporation is seeking a Sales Representative to manage an assigned territory and build strong customer relationships. This position is responsible for achieving sales, distribution, merchandising, and promotional objectives. They will partner closely with retail customers, sales leadership, delivery personnel, merchandising teams, and supplier representatives to identify growth opportunities, execute brand and account standards, and provide exceptional customer service. - Plan and manage an assigned territory to achieve established sales, distribution, service, and account-execution objectives
- Build productive customer relationships, understand account needs, and identify opportunities to expand distribution, assortment, displays, and sales
- Maintain accurate account information, call plans, sales records, and customer commitments
- Monitor market and competitive conditions and communicate opportunities, risks, and service issues to sales leadership
Sales & Business Development
- Present products, pricing, programs, and promotional opportunities that align with customer needs and company and supplier objectives
- Secure orders, new product placements, additional points of distribution, displays, and promotional participation
- Prospect for new business and follow up on qualified sales opportunities within the assigned territory
- Maintain current knowledge of company products, supplier priorities, competitive products, and local market conditions
Merchandising & Account Execution
- Execute applicable company and supplier standards for shelves, cold boxes, displays, menus, points of sale, and other approved placements
- Monitor product condition, inventory levels, rotation, pricing, and promotional execution in assigned accounts
- Use approved merchandising and point-of-sale materials to improve product visibility and sales
- Coordinate with merchandising, delivery, and warehouse teams to address inventory, rotation, display, and service needs
Customer Service & Communication
- Provide timely, professional, and responsive service to assigned accounts and follow through on orders, programs, requests, and commitments
- Resolve routine customer issues within assigned authority and escalate pricing, credit, supply, service, or compliance concerns when appropriate
- Prepare accurate and timely sales activity, distribution, promotion, and territory reports.
- Represent the company and its product portfolio professionally in customer and community interactions
Safety & Operational Compliance
- Perform work in accordance with company safety policies, customer requirements, and applicable laws and regulations
- Operate vehicles and approved material-handling equipment safely and maintain required driving qualifications
- Complete required training, reporting, and administrative activities accurately and on time.
- Maintain assigned company property, sales materials, equipment, and technology in good working condition
What We're Looking For: Required Qualifications
- At least 21 years of age
- High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- Valid driver's license and ability to meet applicable company driving requirements
- Ability to travel regularly throughout the assigned territory and work the schedule required by the assigned accounts
Preferred Qualifications
- Beverage distribution, consumer packaged goods, retail sales, route sales, and/or merchandising experience
- Knowledge of the assigned market and customer channels
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Customer relationship, consultative selling, presentation, and objection-handling skills
- Working knowledge of merchandising, product rotation, displays, promotions, and retail or on-premise execution
- Ability to plan and prioritize customer calls, territory activities, and competing deadlines
- Strong verbal and written communication, organization, accuracy, and follow-through
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across sales and operational teams

Job Details:
- Salary range $48,000 - $65,100 Depending on Experience
- Monthly Incentives and Performance Pay
- Up to 128 hours of Paid Time Off Annually to start (16 days)

Work Environment:
- Work is primarily performed in customer accounts and while traveling throughout an assigned territory
- Customer locations may include grocery stores, convenience stores, restaurants, bars, warehouses, coolers, backrooms, venues, and event sites, depending on assignment
- Work may involve variable temperatures, seasonal weather, moderate to high noise, and interaction with customers and the public
- Schedules may vary based on customer, promotional, route, event, and business needs and may include occasional early-morning, evening, weekend, or holiday work
