A nationally recognized travel brand is looking for a Social Media Specialist to keep their channels running and their community engaged. You will manage the day to day conversation with guests, keep content publishing on time, and help the team stay organized. You will also create content, from quick-turn trend responses to planned posts.

This is a role for someone who can hold three things at once: a live comment section, a content calendar with real deadlines, and a camera. Most of your work will be based in the Pacific Northwest, with occasional opportunities to travel for production.

What You'll Do

Community management

  • Monitor and respond to comments, DMs, and mentions in the brand and loyalty program voice
  • Flag customer issues, emerging conversations, and potential risks to the right teams
  • Surface community insights and recurring themes to inform content and strategy

Social operations

  • Publish and schedule content across the brand's social channels
  • Help build and maintain the social content calendar, tracking deadlines, approvals, and assets
  • Coordinate with the social and influencer team and cross-functional partners to keep content moving on time
  • Keep assets organized and accessible after shoots and launches

Content creation

  • Shoot, edit, and produce short-form video, photo, and copy for social, from same-day trend responses to planned content
  • Stay fluent in social trends, sounds, and formats, and bring that knowledge back to the team

What You Bring

  • Community management experience, ideally for a consumer brand
  • Hands-on experience with social publishing and scheduling tools
  • Highly organized, comfortable juggling real-time conversation, quick-turn requests, and planned work
  • Sharp copywriting instincts and a natural ear for brand voice
  • Sound judgment on when to respond, when to escalate, and when to stay quiet
  • Portfolio showing social content you have created and published
  • Shooting and editing skills (Premiere, CapCut, or similar)

Bonus points

  • Photography or motion graphics experience
  • Travel, hospitality, or loyalty and rewards program experience

Why This Role

You will be the voice in the comments for a brand people genuinely feel something about, and you will own both the conversation and a real share of the content that drives it. The team wants someone with judgment, not just someone who clears the queue. Travel for production is part of the job.

As an Aquent talent, you also get access to medical, dental, and vision coverage, a 401(k) with match, paid sick leave where applicable, and free professional development through Aquent Gymnasium.
