Description

Provide comprehensive outpatient Hepatology care for established patients with chronic liver disease, including MASLD/MASH, cirrhosis, viral hepatitis, alcohol-associated liver disease, and liver lesions. Responsibilities include patient evaluation and management, post-discharge and urgent follow-up, care coordination, ordering and interpreting diagnostic studies, medication management, patient education, and collaboration with Hepatology physicians and the multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, evidence-based care. This position provides clinical coverage at UCLA Health Santa Monica Digestive Diseases and South Bay (Torrance) Digestive Diseases clinics and may support additional UCLA Health community practice locations as operational needs evolve.

Salary range: or $93.81-133.97/hourly

Qualifications

  • MSN or DNP from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program- required
  • Current California Registered Nurse and California Nurse Practitioner license - required
  • National NP certification - required
  • DEA registration and furnishing license (or eligible)-required
  • Current BLS certification from AHA or ARC- required
  • Excellent clinical assessment, communication, and organizational skills-required
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team-required
  • One (1) year or more of Nurse Practitioner experience in Hepatology -required
  • Experience managing patients with chronic liver disease, including MASLD/MASH, cirrhosis, viral hepatitis, alcohol-associated liver disease, and liver lesions -preferred.
  • Experience managing independent outpatient specialty clinics -preferred.
  • Experience providing telehealth services -preferred.
  • Experience with FibroScan and Epic/CareConnect -preferred.
