| Job Summary |
The
Program Manager serves as a key member of the
Davidson Management Honors Program (DMHP) and is responsible for the planning, coordination, implementation, and assessment of programs and services that support student success, leadership development, engagement, recruitment, and community building. Reporting to the
DMHP Director and working closely with the
DMHP Associate Dean, this position plays an integral role in enhancing the undergraduate experience for approximately 2
50 high-achieving business honors students.
The
Program Manager serves as a primary point of contact for current and prospective students and collaborates with faculty, staff, alumni, and university partners to support a vibrant and engaged honors community. Responsibilities include student advising, leadership and mentoring programs, recruitment and admissions processes, student engagement initiatives, communications and marketing efforts, event planning, and program operations.
The successful candidate will be passionate about student development and committed to creating meaningful experiences that foster connection, belonging, academic excellence, and professional growth. This position requires significant interaction with students, occasional travel, and evening and weekend commitments to support recruitment activities, student events, conferences, competitions, retreats, and experiential learning opportunities. |
| Minimum Education and Experience |
Bachelor's degree. Three (3) years of related experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. |

- Master's degree in Higher Education, Student Affairs, Counseling, Business, or a related field.
- Three to five years of experience in student affairs, academic advising, honors education, program administration, recruitment, student leadership, or related higher education programs.
- Experience developing and coordinating student programs and events.
- Experience supervising student employees or student leaders.
- Experience creating marketing materials using Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar platforms.
- Experience managing budgets, purchasing, and financial transactions.
- Experience using CRM, student information, or related database systems.

- Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.

| Essential Duties and Responsibilities |

Student Advising and Success
- Serve as advisor for approximately 125 Davidson Management Honors Program students.
- Meet individually with students regularly regarding academic planning, program requirements, leadership development, professional goals, and overall student success.
- Connect students with campus resources and support services as needed.
- Track student participation and progress toward program requirements.
Student Leadership Programs
- Coordinate the DMHP Peer Mentor Program, including selection, placement, supervision, and assessment of approximately 30 student Peer Mentors.
- Collaborate with the DMHP Director to develop and manage Peer Mentor groups, thoughtfully matching first-year students with upper-class mentors based on academic interests, career aspirations, extracurricular involvement, leadership experiences, and personal interests to foster meaningful relationships and support successful transitions into DMHP.
- Facilitate ongoing engagement, communication, and support within Peer Mentor groups throughout the academic year.
- Coordinate and supervise the DMHP CORE (Community, Outreach, Recruitment, and Engagement) Team, consisting of approximately 15 student leaders who support recruitment, community building, student engagement, and outreach efforts.
- Recruit, train, mentor, and provide leadership development opportunities for Peer Mentors and CORE Team members.
- Coach student leaders in planning and implementing recruitment activities, service projects, outreach efforts, and program events.
- Monitor the effectiveness of Peer mentoring and student leadership programs and recommend improvements to enhance student engagement and community building.
Recruitment and Admissions
- Manage admissions workflow from application receipt to enrollment.
- Coordinate applicant interviews and participate in the interview and holistic review process in collaboration with the DMHP Director.
- Track admissions and enrollment data and prepare reports to support program decision-making.
- Develop admissions communications.
- Coordinate prospective and admitted student events and information sessions.
- Represent DMHP at university and Jindal School recruitment events.
- Support enrollment and yield efforts through outreach and engagement with prospective and admitted students.
- Build relationships with prospective students and families and communicate program opportunities and expectations.
Community Building & Student Engagement
- Plan, coordinate, and execute social events, community service projects, and student engagement initiatives throughout the year.
- Maintain relationships with nonprofit and community partners.
- Promote a sense of community, belonging, and connection among DMHP students.
Travel and Experiential Learning
- Support the planning and implementation of the annual domestic trip, including logistics, participant communications, travel preparations, and on-site coordination, while traveling with the DMHP Director and/or DMHP Associate Dean.
- Manage travel documentation, participant requirements, and compliance-related travel processes.
- Accompany students to conferences, case competitions, employer visits, and other experiential learning opportunities as needed.
- Serve as a university representative during student travel and support student participation in off-campus learning experiences.
Marketing and Communications
- Manage DMHP Instagram and LinkedIn accounts.
- Create and implement social media content strategies.
- Develop recruitment and promotional content for marketing and outreach initiatives.
- Create digital and print marketing materials to support program communications and branding.
- Highlight student accomplishments and program successes.
Program Operations and Administration
- Serve as departmental One Card holder.
- Coordinate and process purchases according to university policies.
- Process reimbursements, travel authorizations, and expense reports.
- Manage vendor contracts and payment requests.
- Coordinate event logistics, catering, transportation, and supplies.
- Maintain relationships with vendors and service providers.
- Assist with budget tracking and financial reporting.
- Support risk management and compliance requirements related to events, programs, and travel.
Other Duties
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned in support of the mission, goals, and learning outcomes of the Davidson Management Honors Program.
