Job Title: Procurement Specialist I
Location: Melbourne, FL (On-Site)
Employment Type: Contract (6 months)
Industry: Aviation/Airline
Compensation: $25-$27/hr
Shift: M-F 1 st Shift
About the Opportunity:
In this role, you'll play a key part in managing procurement activities for indirect goods and services, researching suppliers and executing purchasing strategies that support business needs. You'll develop and implement efficient, cost-effective purchasing processes while ensuring all purchases meet specifications, requirements, and company policies and procedures.
What You'll Do:
  • Support data-driven procurement decisions through goal setting, performance management, analytics, and actionable recommendations.
  • Execute procure-to-pay (P2P) purchasing activities and support the development and administration of agreements and Statements of Work (SOWs) in partnership with business and legal teams.
  • Conduct spend analysis, market research, benchmarking, and financial analysis using TCO and NPV concepts to identify cost-saving opportunities and develop compelling business cases.
  • Build and manage trusted relationships with suppliers, business partners, and internal stakeholders, including supporting commercial negotiations, delivery performance, Quarterly Business Reviews, and supplier assessments.
  • Identify and implement process improvements while supporting special projects, large RFPs, and cross-functional initiatives that enhance procurement effectiveness.
  • Maintain accurate contract databases, special terms documentation, and procurement records while ensuring compliance with U.S. Procurement Policies and Guidelines.
  • Share procurement knowledge and best practices by collaborating across teams, optimizing workflows, and supporting the training and onboarding of new employees.

Job Requirements
What You'll Bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, operations/supply management or related
  • 1-3 years of experience in Procurement
  • 1+ years' experience in preparation of RFQ/RFPs, negotiation, follow-up and control of commercial proposals.
What Sets You Apart:
  • Experience with SAP
  • Experience in the Aerospace industry
  • Knowledge of Procurement methodology
  • MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point)
  • Experience with MS Project or similar technology
  • Language proficiency in Portuguese or Spanish desirable
