Compensation: $74.21 - $81.35/hr.
Schedule: 40 hours/week - 1 st shift 8 am - 5 pm

What You'll Do:
  • Own scientific capability areas end to end, translating ambiguous product or system needs into clear research questions, hypotheses, and measurable success criteria.
  • Lead research projects from literature review and method selection through experimentation, ablation studies, error analysis, and productization.
  • Identify and address scaling challenges, including data quality, model drift, latency, throughput, cost, and safety.
  • Champion rigorous experimentation, reproducibility, and strong research documentation across the team.
  • Apply responsible AI practices, including bias detection, model risk management, and human-in-the-loop controls.
Job Requirements
What You'll Bring:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 8+ years of experience in applied machine learning, AI research, or data science, with a good publication record.
What Sets You Apart:
  • Experience applying ML in industrial or physical domains: manufacturing, automation, robotics, energy, mobility, infrastructure, healthcare.
  • Deep expertise in one of: robotics, multimodal ML, generative AI, retrieval augmented generation, agentic workflows, time series, control, or planning.
  • Scientific ML for physical systems: surrogate modeling, operator learning, physics-informed ML, geometry-aware ML, differentiable simulation, AI for semiconductor/EDA.
  • Hands-on experience building evaluation pipelines, running online experiments, or instrumenting production monitoring for a model you owned.
  • Publications, patents, open source contributions, or significant internal technology transfers.
  • Experience mentoring junior scientists and interns.
  • Experience working with globally distributed research, product, or engineering organizations.
  • Holds a faculty position at a top university.
  • Strong foundation in machine learning theory and practice across training, evaluation, and deployment.
  • Proficiency in Python and modern ML frameworks and toolchains.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
