Job Description

Position Summary:

Responds to assigned customer's inquiries and requests, enters orders, and resolves issues. Responsible for maintaining good customer relations and acting as a backup for an assigned group of customers. Completes all necessary follow-up including documentation and coordination. Handles confidential pricing structure data and customer account data. Responsible for protecting the company's financial interests and good customer relations through accurate and consistent price quotes to customers while executing the Company's pricing strategy. Performs essential departmental policies and procedures with little to no supervision.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Acts as an account manager to an assigned set of strategic "B" level customers.
  • Provides customer quotations based on the internal sales strategy, pricing database, cost database, and/or estimated costs provided by the estimating department.
  • Coordinates with Estimator or Inside Sales Manager for appropriate prices or to correct inconsistencies in pricing when there is missing or conflicting data, or the data conflicts with pricing guidance.
  • Investigates and resolves problems concerning manufacturing ship dates. Acts as a liaison between the company and customer to expedite or amicably resolve delinquent shipments.
  • Always communicates clearly, courteously and professionally with customers, distributors, internal customers / suppliers, and other business contacts.
  • Completes both company and customer documentation, such as Purchase Orders (P.O.) reviews, to ensure final order is entered into the system correctly and matches what was offered to the customer.
  • Completes all documentation in a timely manner and submits responses to customers that meet the deadlines provided (e.g. bid close dates).
  • Coordinates with various departments to ensure continuity of pricing, shipping, and delivery dates.
  • Utilizes available data and tools to assist in level loading the shop.
  • Facilities product returns and invoice adjustment.
  • Processes and adjusts for returned goods in the customer file by issuing replacement orders, credit memos, etc., to maintain and auditable transaction log.
  • Maintains network access to assigned customer portals.
  • Acts as a backup to a secondary set of customers by maintaining a good working relationship with key contacts, maintaining access to customer portals, and cross training with assigned Inside Sales Representative to ensure continuity.
  • Works to understand customer demands and provides value added ordering suggestions to ensure customer needs are met. Provide insight and data to Inside Sales Manager and Outside Sales team.
  • Complies with all company policies and safety rules.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Ability to read and interpret business related documentation
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience working with outside customers to find resolutions for inquiries
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel including use of V-lookup and Pivot table functions
  • Knowledge of ERP systems and Customer Portal Applications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or Business Administration, Engineering, or another related field highly preferred
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in inside sales or account management in an aerospace or other regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with business to business sales highly preferred.

For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $21.50 to $32.25 US Dollar (USD) Hourly based on a variety of factors. For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company's Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan, paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 1X the Company's bonus multiple, based on the Company's performance in the applicable quarter . Employees will receive 80 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays. Employees (and their families) are eligible to participate in the company's medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are eligible to enroll in the Company's 401(k) plan.
