WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW (Job Overview):

Under limited supervision, ensure accurate and timely review and evaluation of Collections documentation and take appropriate actions to control associated product as necessary. Maintain quality and regulatory standards which impact donor and patient safety. Provide support, development and/or leadership guidance to all volunteers.

WHERE YOUR CAREER IS A FORCE FOR GOOD (Key Responsibilities):

  • Review and correct electronic and manual versions of donor collections operations documents and assist with donor safety and patient safety issues as related to results of the review.
  • Evaluate discrepancies identified during review to include initial investigation and management of suspect products. Make corrections as appropriate per defined procedures.
  • Document discrepancies and forward to staff responsible for problem investigation and follow up activities.
  • Contribute ideas and expertise to formulate effective corrective actions for problems by participating in functional work groups or providing feedback to appropriate management.
  • Contact external and internal customers such as donors, DCSC or other departments and foster teamwork to enhance operational success.
  • Ensure confidentiality of sensitive information and resolve difficult situations with professionalism.

SHIFT INFORMATION: Tuesday through Saturday, 9:00 am-5:30 pm. This schedule should be considered Remote but flexible as there are occasional needs requiring coming into the office on differing days.Candidates MUST live in or around the facility address: 825 John Street, W. Henrietta, NY 14586

PAY INFORMATION: The salary range for this position is: $20.25 per hour + Shift Differential Pay

Other factors that may be used to determine your actual salary include your specific skills, years of experience, and comparison with other employees already in this role.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (Minimum Qualifications):

  • High School or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 3 years of data processing, medical records, auditing and quality review experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience required. Previous donor center experience, medical experience or quality background preferred.
  • Proficiency with computer desktop applications and ability to type with speed and accuracy required. Strong organizational skills, document management skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks required. Must be detail oriented and have strong math skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
  • Ability to identify, resolve and escalate issues if necessary. Must display tact, diplomacy and professionalism in difficult situations and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Ability to work on a team.
  • Travel: May be required.

Physical Requirements
Physical requirements are those present in normal office environment conditions. Operational flexibility is required to meet sudden and unpredictable needs. Ability to use a personal computer, applicable software, and office equipment for sustained periods of time. May include sitting for long periods of time, driving a vehicle, and working under challenging conditions.
