Location: Avon, CT

Pay Rate: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour



  • 2nd Shift Differential:Additional 8%
  • 3rd Shift Differential:Additional 12%

Education Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Associate degree or technical training preferred
  • Ability to read work instructions, drawings, and product specifications
  • Basic computer skills required
  • Strong math skills, including fractions, decimals, measurements, and basic calculations


Experience Requirements

  • 1-3 years of manufacturing, production, or industrial experience preferred
  • Mechanical, technical, or industrial background preferred
  • Experience with fiber optics, cable manufacturing, extrusion, or related processes is a plus
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement


Physical Capabilities

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the workday
  • Ability to lift and handle production materials and equipment safely
  • Ability to work around manufacturing machinery and process equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and hand-eye coordination
  • Ability to follow safety procedures and wear required protective equipment


Job Duties

  • Set up, operate, and monitor fiber draw towers used in fiber optic manufacturing
  • Follow work orders, production recipes, engineering specifications, and quality standards
  • Review materials, drawings, and process requirements before production
  • Inspect production processes to ensure quality and performance requirements are met
  • Troubleshoot equipment and process issues to reduce downtime and improve efficiency
  • Maintain accurate production records and documentation
  • Support Engineering with process development and continuous improvement projects
  • Handle, label, and dispose of manufacturing materials according to established procedures
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area using 6S practices
  • Follow all safety, ISO, and company operating procedures
  • Support additional manufacturing and production activities as needed
