Since 1959, USC American Language Institute (ALI) provides English language instruction, assessment and academic support services for international students and scholars at the University of Southern California (USC). ALI offers English language courses that help undergraduate, graduate, and professional students develop the academic communication skills needed for success at the university. In addition to offering English language instruction, the ALI administers the International Student English (ISE) Examination to assess English proficiency and determine appropriate English language support. ALI also administers the International Teaching Assistant (ITA) Exam and provides specialized instruction to help international teaching assistants meet USC's English language proficiency requirements for teaching. ALI invites applications for Part-Time Lecturer positions for the Fall 2026 semester. Successful candidates will teach English language courses that develop the academic communication skills required for success in undergraduate and graduate study at USC. ALI faculty teach multilingual students representing a broad range of countries, languages, academic disciplines, and educational backgrounds. Qualifications Required

Compensation Salary is $9,000 per course.
