Adjunct, OTD

Job Summary

Drexel University seeks adjunct candidates for a part-time position based at Drexel University, Elkins Park Campus, to teach in the MSCHE accredited post-professional OTD and Advanced Specialty Certificates programs, which may include classroom or lab instruction, or a combination of the two.

Essential Functions

• Lecture online and/or prepare clinical in-person labs for designated courses.
• Navigate the Learning Management System (e.g. Canvas, Blackboard), grade doctoral assignments, and enter grades into the Student Information System (e.g. Banner) at the conclusion of the term.
• Work in conjunction with the program director to adjust the syllabus and course assignments as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Clinical, educational, or research doctorate degree (e.g. OD, PhD, EdD, OTD)
• Minimum of 3 years of clinical, research or teaching experience
• Advanced knowledge aligned with their assigned courseload (e.g. program development expertise or advanced knowledge of vision problems prevalent in the acquired brain injury and pediatric populations).
• Demonstrated experience teaching in higher education (e.g. lab assistant, guest lecturer, adjunct instructor)
