Child Counselor - Mercy Laredo

Minimum Qualifications

Education:

* Arkansas: Master's degree in counseling, psychology or related field.

* Texas: Enrolled in master's degree in counseling, psychology, or related field with timeline to receive of 2 years.

Licensure:

*Arkansas: Licensed Professional Counselor, LPC or Provisionally Licensed Master of Social Worker, LMSW in the state of Arkansas.

*Texas: Current licensure or currently pursuing license in the state of Texas.

Experience: One to two years' experience in a center for victims of family violence or similar setting.

Preferred Qualifications

Education:

*Texas: Master's degree in counseling psychology.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

*Bilingual in English and Spanish is a must.

*Knowledgeable about development issues and cultural sensitivities.

*Ability to work extended hours as needed.

*Ability to work with and preserve confidential information.

*Basic computer skills.
