Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) - Orthopedics

The Role

As a Certified Medical Assistant in Orthopedics, you will support a fast-paced ambulatory clinic where no two days feel exactly the same. The team functions as one integrated orthopedic practice, giving CMAs exposure to areas such as Sports Medicine, Joint Replacement, Orthopedic Trauma, Orthopedic Oncology, Pediatric Orthopedics, Bone Health, and the Orthopedic Injury Walk-In Clinic.

You will partner closely with nurses and other clinical team members in a collaborative pod-style environment. This role is ideal for a CMA who enjoys staying active, learning continuously, and being directly involved in patient care.

In an average day, you may:

• Room patients and complete intake for a wide range of orthopedic visits.

• Collect medical histories, surgical histories, height, weight, and vital signs.

• Perform medication review and medication reconciliation.

• Prepare injections and medications for provider use.

• Assist providers with in-clinic procedures.

• Support suture removal, staple removal, wound care, and casting-related needs.

• Help patients navigate visits that may involve injury evaluation, surgical follow-up, recovery progress, or specialty care.

• Float across subspecialty areas based on clinic needs, creating broad learning opportunities and strong clinical variety.
