HDR is seeking a Project Model Manager, to join our growing team and continue the legacy of providing our clients and communities with creative design solutions that enhance the health and human condition of those they serve. HDR is home to world-class expertise, and the Model Manager serves as our team's connection to those capabilities.

This is a project team member working in the model, directly communicating with the Project Digital Delivery Leader on model issues and needs. The role of a Project Model Manager (PMM) is crucial for maintaining the quality and efficiency of digital models throughout the project lifecycle. The PMM is actively involved in the entire lifecycle of the project and plays a crucial role in maintaining model integrity, adherence to standards, and effective collaboration across the project team. This is a proactive role in maintaining the quality, coordination, and overall health of digital models in a project. The PMM plays a vital role in ensuring that the digital models align with HDR standards and project goals, coordinating efforts with project stakeholders and involves a combination of proactive tasks, regular maintenance, and collaborative efforts with the project team.

Project Model Manager at HDR with mentorship and guidance from Architecture Leadership, will participate in the following:

  • Work for a specific discipline, under the direct supervision of an Architect/Engineer, or other technical professional

  • Be responsible for their discipline model and will generate the BIM elements, based on the Level of Development (LOD) outlined in the Digital Delivery Plan (DDP) and project scope.

  • Create and maintain the discipline model, systems, content, and overall digital delivery output for that discipline

  • Rely on the architect, engineer, or other technical professional to provide direction and guidance throughout the project duration but will be technically competent with the discipline and software used to produce the designs identified in the Digital Delivery requirements

  • Accurately model the BIM elements in the correct special constraints of the modeling environment, using the current 3D software

  • Prepare detailed drawings, layouts, & diagrams of the design within the project scope, schedule, and budget, using the current 3D software

  • Maintain the discipline model including project information, coordinates, scales, orientations, scope boundaries, match-lines, views, and sheets

  • Produce discipline specific documentation with accurate annotations on all modeling output

  • Monitor, improve, and maintain company standards and model health

  • Coordinate the design with other discipline models through Design Reviews and the 3D Coordination process

  • Assist or execute any additional Digital Delivery requirements identified on the project

  • Participate in the digital delivery community to ensure communication and dissemination of BIM, digital delivery and other knowledge.

Preferred Qualifications

  • VDC experience in Healthcare, Mission Critical, or Laboratory projects
  • Run Clash reports and prepare NAVIS models for coordination with project teams.
  • Write BEP for individual projects
  • Dynamo automation

Required Qualifications
  • Technical degree or a combination of education and related industry experience
  • A minimum of 5 years digital design (BIM element authoring) experience
  • Comprehensive understanding of all discipline relations and operations of building systems
  • Advanced skillset of 3D design software and document management infrastructure
  • Advanced skillset of 3D Coordination tools
  • Advanced skillset of Microsoft Office products and communication tools
  • Familiar with industry standards and practices, along with discipline codes and specifications
  • Familiar with basic automation and programming applications for efficiencies
  • Familiar with 3D design software add-ins and supporting applications
  • Familiar with content creation and management concepts
  • Superior client service, communication, and presentation skills are essential
  • Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills to effectively serve as a first line of technical support

The expected compensation range for this position depends upon skills, experience, education and geographical location. (Stated benefits are for full-time regular positions.
