Position Summary

The Student Content Intern supports ACT's Brand and Creative Marketing team with a primary focus on managing ACT's student testimonial program. This is a project-management-forward role where you'll own real work with real impact - coordinating directly with students, managing contract and file workflows, and keeping a multi-stakeholder project moving on schedule.

Beyond the testimonial project, you'll have the opportunity to build practical skills in video editing and social media management alongside our Digital Content Creator. This role is well-suited for a student interested in marketing, communications, media production, or a related field who wants hands-on experience inside a national brand.

Primary Responsibility: Student Testimonial Program

You'll serve as the day-to-day coordinator for ACT's student testimonial initiative - a content project that sources authentic student stories for use across social media, advertising, and brand campaigns. Responsibilities include:

  • Conduct outreach to prospective student participants via email and other channels, using provided messaging templates and contact lists

  • Track participant status and follow up consistently to move students through each stage of the process

  • Submit and manage contract requests in Salesforce, ensuring all required information is accurate and complete

  • Maintain organized digital files across shared drives, keeping assets, contracts, and communications easy to locate

  • Coordinate scheduling and logistics between students, internal stakeholders, and production team members

  • Flag questions, blockers, or timeline risks to the Senior Manager proactively

Learning Opportunities:

In addition to the testimonial project, this role offers exposure to the following areas based on interest and project availability:

  • Video editing: Assist with basic edits to student testimonial footage and organic social content using tools like CapCut or Adobe Premiere

  • Social media management: Support content scheduling, caption drafting, and platform-specific asset organization across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Facebook

  • Brand marketing fundamentals: Gain insight into how a national organization manages brand voice, visual identity, and content strategy

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Currently enrolled in a college or university program in marketing, communications, media production, journalism, or a related field with completion of sophomore year.

We're looking for someone who is organized, communicative, and comfortable following through without being reminded. Specific experience is less important than a reliable approach to work.

  • Strong written communication skills - you'll be emailing students directly

  • Detail-oriented with the ability to track multiple contacts and deadlines simultaneously

  • Comfortable learning new tools and platforms quickly

  • Self-directed and able to work independently in a remote environment

Preferred Skills:

* Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM tools (training provided)

* Experience with OneDrive, Excel, or similar file organization systems

* Basic video editing experience (Adobe Premiere, CapCut, or similar)

* Personal interest in social media, content creation, or digital marketing

What This Role Offers:

* Real project ownership from day one - not busywork

* Mentorship from an experienced brand and creative marketing team

* Exposure to how national-scale content, brand, and social programs operate

* A portfolio-building experience in project coordination and content operations

* Flexible hours (5-15 per week) that work around a full class schedule

* A mission-driven organization focused on expanding student opportunities through education
