| Primary Function of Organizational Unit |
The Division of Student Affairs fosters student growth and development. The Division of Student Affairs aids, directs, and informs students about services and programs that will expand students' educational experiences and prepare them for diverse lives in local and global communities. The Division of Student Affairs is responsible for many of the out-of-classroom, off-campus aspects of student life at
NCCU, including student engagement and leadership; career services; student disability services; student leadership; residential life; student activities; student conduct; special programs and services; and student health & counseling services.

| Primary Purpose of Position |
The Director of Student Affairs Assessment, Training, and Professional Development provides strategic leadership for assessment, continuous improvement, and professional learning initiatives across the Division of Student Affairs. This role is responsible for advancing a culture of evidence-based practice, supporting staff development, and ensuring alignment with institutional priorities, accreditation standards, and best practices within the
UNC System. |

Preferred Qualifications
Experience within the
UNC System or a similar public higher education environment.
- Knowledge of student learning outcomes assessment.
- Strong understanding of student development theory and best practices in Student Affairs.

| Minimum Education/Experience |
- Master's degree in Higher Education, Student Affairs, Educational Leadership, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in Student Affairs, assessment, or professional development.
- Experience developing and facilitating training or professional development programs.

- Lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive assessment strategy for the Division of Student Affairs.
- Design and oversee assessment tools, surveys, and evaluation frameworks to measure program effectiveness, student learning outcomes, and service delivery.
- Prepare reports to inform decision-making, strategic planning, and resource allocation.
- Collaborate with campus partners (e.g., Institutional Research, Academic Affairs) to align assessment efforts.
