Luther Manor is seeking Receptionists to join our Welcome Center team. Current openings include:



  • Limited Part-Time Receptionist (1st Shift): 7:45 a.m. to 3:45 p.m., scheduled every other weekend.
  • 2 Part-Time Receptionist (2nd Shift): 3:45 p.m. to 7:45 p.m., including weekend assignments based on business needs.


Schedules and hours are assigned based on operational and business needs.

Receptionists are responsible for the clerical and communication functions of the reception and communications office in the Welcome Center.

Essential JobFunctions:


  • Encourages and models team approach to accomplish the Luther Manor mission of providing excellent care and services to customers (assists others as needed)
  • Follows state and federal regulations, as outlined in the Employee Handbook, Human Resources Manual, and Resident Bill of Rights, and adheres to safety rules.
  • Reports potential/actual safety hazards to Nurse Manager/Nursing Supervisor and/or Security immediately.
  • Exhibit a pleasant, welcoming and helpful persona to residents, visitors, callers and guests: while assisting Client Relations in their mission whenever possible
  • Receive, route and direct all incoming phone calls and personal inquiries
  • Assist in a helpful manner all visitors and guests
  • Monitor the security/fire and mechanical systems, and respond to any serious, unexpected or emergency situationin accordance withLuther Manor policies and procedures
  • Monitor developing weather conditions
  • Process incoming and outgoing US Postal Mail and internal inter-office mail
  • Some light word processing, Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Google Mail , and Internet responsibilities
  • Update and coordinate resident census notices and staff changes
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Must be 18 years of age and a high school graduate or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively under pressure
  • Demonstrated attention to detail
  • Ability to speak clearly and work effectively through the use of a phone.
  • Good communication skills both orally and written and is patient and sensitive when dealing with the needs of the elderly and their families.
  • Mobility to bend, reach, stoop or transfer supplies weighing approximately 25 lbs.
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently in an environment with numerous interruptions.
  • Must be computer literate and able to use basic software.
  • Flexible in hours for coverage in emergencies.

Supervision:


  • Reports to the Loss Prevention Manager
  • There is no supervisory responsibility with this position.
