Compensation:

* Base Pay Range: $16.68 - $26.31 per hour, based on experience

ABOUT THE JOB

Our business support specialist helps the unit with reports, HR-related documents, supply orders, and support to the unit manager. DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION

* Manages calendars for managers or leaders, proactively scheduling meetings and resolving conflicts.

* Prepares and tracks meeting materials, agendas, and action items to ensure follow-through.

* Drafts, edits, and responds to correspondence independently on behalf of leaders or teams.

* Prepares and delivers reports, presentations, and summaries using organized and synthesized information.

* Tracks, analyzes, and reports data to support operational and departmental decision-making.

* Reconciles and monitors accounts or financial activity, identifies discrepancies, and resolves routine issues.

* Supports and maintains human resources processes including onboarding, payroll coordination, and HR documentation.

* Builds, generates, and interprets reports using departmental systems and tools.

* Coordinates elements of projects, events, or initiatives, ensuring alignment of timelines and stakeholders.

* Collaborates with cross-functional teams, vendors, and external partners to support operations.

* Resolves routine problems independently and escalates complex issues as appropriate.

* Prioritizes and manages workload based on deadlines, competing priorities, and business needs.

* Maintains and improves existing processes, identifying opportunities for efficiency or quality gains.

* Provides informal guidance, training, and workflow support to less experienced staff.

* Utilizes multiple systems and tools, including reporting platforms, to manage workflows and deliver outputs.

* Handles moderately sensitive information with discretion and in accordance with policies.

* May complete unit/department-specific duties and expectations as outlined in department documents.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities can be acquired.

Two (2) years of office-related experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

* Additional license/certification requirements as determined by the hiring department.
