Job Description
A Project Engineer job in Windsor, CT is currently available at Belcan. This is a direct, full-time position with benefits. To be considered for this role, you will need a Bachelor of Science degree in the engineering field, preferably Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, and a minimum of 6 years of experience in the aerospace industry, preferably with gas turbine design.
Project Engineer job duties:
*Candidates will be leading teams and working to manage customer tasks, create engineering schedules, coordinate engineering changes, assist engineering leads through design processes, and status work with the customer for technical status, schedule, and performance.
*Leading and working with multi discipline teams
*Candidates are expected to mentor younger engineers, manage the daily/weekly activities of those on their team, and report status to technical leads and project managers.
Qualifications:
*Minimum of 6 years' experience in the aerospace industry
*Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering from an accredited institution.
*Candidate must have experience working with Project Schedules and Project Planning.
*Must have very good communication skills, good problem-solving skills, and ability to work in a team.
*Scrum and PM certifications are preferred.
*Extensive Microsoft Office Suite experience.
*Ability and willingness to mentor and teach younger project engineers.
*Ability to resolve conflicts with schedules and tasks and negotiate a resolution with internal and external customers
*Be adaptable and capable of pivoting to new situations as they arise
*Understand phases of a project and ability to recognize scope creep and affect customer deliverables
*Ability to create WBS, Gantt charts and critical paths and how they affect customer deliverables
*Due to the nature of the work, US Citizenship is required.
We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary range of $75,000 to $00,000. Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline.
