Your Job

The Molex External Cables team is looking for a driven, curious, and highly organized Product Specialist who wants to do more than simply support a product line. This is a hands-on role for someone who is hungry to learn, humble enough to jump into the details, and smart enough to connect technical, commercial, and operational work into clear actions that help the team move faster.

In this role, you will support Product Management execution across our high-speed interconnect portfolio, including Active Electrical Cables (AEC), Active Copper Cables (ACC), and Direct Attach Copper (DAC) solutions. You will help bring structure, visibility, and momentum to the business by improving documentation, strengthening process discipline, maintaining product and commercial information, and creating practical tools that make the team more effective.

The right person will be tenacious and ambitious-someone who sees a gap, asks good questions, builds the tracker, cleans up the process, follows up on the action items, and keeps pushing until the work is complete. You will partner closely with Product Managers, Engineering, Quality, Project Management, Sales, and FAE teams to help convert technical detail into organized execution and clear communication.

This role is designed as a development path into Product Management. With demonstrated performance, initiative, and the right skill development, the Product Specialist is expected to grow into a Product Manager role over time.

We are looking for someone who takes pride in the details, communicates clearly, and brings positive energy to a fast-moving environment. Success in this role will come from ownership, follow-through, and the ability to turn scattered information into useful documents, dashboards, pricing sheets, trackers, and decision-ready updates.

Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.

Our Team

We are a collaborative team driving the development and adoption of Molex External Cables for leading Enterprise and Hyperscale customers. Our work sits at the intersection of product strategy, engineering execution, customer support, quality, and commercial readiness. We work closely with Product Development Engineering (PDE), Quality, Project Management, Field Application Engineering (FAE), Sales, and global manufacturing teams to deliver high-speed connectivity solutions in a demanding and fast-changing market.

What You Will Do

  • Create, improve, and maintain product documentation, including datasheets, product guides, customer-facing summaries, internal process documents, and website content that is accurate, consistent, and easy to use.
  • Bring structure to quality and reliability work by supporting MTBF documentation, RMA tracking, reliability summaries, corrective-action follow-up, and process documentation that helps the team stay organized and audit-ready.
  • Maintain and improve commercial execution tools, including pricing sheets, tariff-related trackers, product setup information, approval documentation, and recurring reports needed to support Product Management decisions.
  • Build and manage dashboards, action-item lists, trackers, and other practical tools that improve visibility across programs, customer requests, product roadmaps, design-win pipelines, and key deliverables.
  • Support CAPEX documents, PDR creation, STAT submissions, procurement requests, and other approval workflows by collecting inputs, organizing data, and keeping stakeholders aligned.
  • Coordinate cross-functional work with PDE, Quality, Project Management, FAE, Sales, and plant teams to help keep deliverables moving and escalate risks before they become surprises.
  • Prepare clear internal and executive updates related to product launches, program ramps, customer escalations, product readiness, and open action items.
  • Support customer and field inquiries by helping gather technical information, coordinate Tier 2 / Tier 3 responses, and translate complex details into clear communication.
  • Assist with tradeshow planning, scheduling, logistics, product collateral, and on-site or pre-event support as needed.
  • Look for opportunities to improve how the team works-then take initiative to recommend, build, and maintain better processes, templates, dashboards, and communication tools.
Desired Attributes:
  • Strong ownership mindset with a high sense of urgency and discipline to follow through, close loops and independently manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent attention-to-detail with technical documents, pricing files, dashboards, process documents or customer-facing materials.
  • Intellectual curiosity with interest in learning high-speed interconnect products and desire to develop into a broader Product Management role.
  • High initiative to take on new challenges, willingness to use feedback as a tool for improvement, and passion for solving problems.
  • Highly collaborative to work cross-functionally and build trusted relationships with Product Managers, Engineering, Quality, Project Management, Sales, Field Application Engineers and Manufacturing.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Experience in product support, engineering support, product marketing, operations, business analysis, technical coordination, or a related role (industry or intern experience).
  • Proficiency using MS Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) to organize data, actions, and reporting.

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Economics, or Engineering.
  • Familiarity with AEC, ACC, DAC, signal integrity concepts, hyperscale customer needs, or data center connectivity trends.
  • Experience supporting product management, product operations, engineering programs, commercial operations, or sales enablement.
  • Experience creating dashboards, trackers, pricing tools, action-item logs, workflow templates, or process-improvement tools that improved team execution.
  • Exposure to quality and reliability documentation, MTBF, RMA processes, tariffs, product setup, CAPEX, PDR, STAT, or spend approval workflows.
  • Experience supporting tradeshows, product launches, customer presentations, or internal executive updates.
  • Proficiency with project management, dashboard, or workflow tools such as Smartsheet, MS Project, Jira, Power BI, SharePoint, or similar platforms.
