Description Nursing/Clinical Support Medical Assistant Apprenticeship Program - Now Accepting Applications! MaineHealth, in partnership with Southern Maine Community College (SMCC), is now accepting applications for the Fall 2026 cohort, beginning September 28, 2026. The program is a paid 40 hr per week full time position for 9 months. The program combines one day of classroom instruction at the college with four days of patient care experience at a MaineHealth Outpatient/Ambulatory Practice. The Practices for this program are in the Greater Portland area and the Southern Region of Maine. Application Deadline: July, 28, 2026 (or sooner if a sufficient number of applications are received). There is a high level of interest in this program therefore we encourage persons to apply as soon as possible. Applications must include an updated resume that includes contact details; current and previous employment; education and relevant certifications. Applications submitted without a complete resume will not be considered. After the review of applications, if selected for interview you will be contacted by email with a date and time.
