- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, assembly instructions, specifications, work orders, and job travelers.
- Assemble, position, align, and adjust electrical and mechanical components to ensure proper fit, function, and performance.
- Install completed electrical control panels and controllers onto finished industrial equipment.
- Perform point-to-point wiring, cable routing, and electrical connections according to engineering requirements.
- Prepare, route, and connect tubing as directed for equipment assembly.
- Use multimeters, calipers, and other precision measuring instruments to verify assembly accuracy and electrical continuity.
- Conduct basic testing, inspection, troubleshooting, and quality checks to identify wiring issues, component defects, alignment concerns, and assembly errors.
- Verify proper component placement and ensure products meet quality and safety standards.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently.
- Complete production documentation, quality records, and assembly paperwork accurately.
- Provide feedback regarding product quality, assembly processes, and equipment performance.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe 5S manufacturing work environment.
- Follow all company safety policies, quality standards, and manufacturing procedures.
Education Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.
- Technical training in electrical assembly, electro-mechanical systems, manufacturing, or industrial technology is a plus.
Experience Requirements
- 1 to 2 years of experience in mechanical assembly, electrical assembly, electro-mechanical assembly, or equipment manufacturing.
- Experience performing point-to-point wiring and cable connections.
- Ability to use a multimeter to test and verify electrical circuits and connections.
- Experience using calipers, measuring tools, and common hand tools in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience assembling industrial equipment, machinery, control systems, medical devices, instrumentation, or similar products preferred.
- Pneumatic systems experience preferred but not required.
- Soldering experience preferred but not required.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to follow detailed assembly instructions and engineering documents.
Physical Capabilities
- Ability to stand, sit, bend, reach, twist, and move throughout the workday.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Strong hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for precision assembly work.
- Ability to safely operate hand tools, measuring devices, and manufacturing equipment.
- Capable of performing repetitive tasks while maintaining a high level of quality and accuracy.
