Requirements

• Previous MIG welding experience in a metalworking environment
• Experience using hand tools and angle grinders
• Ability to read blueprints and job specifications
• Ability to use measuring tools accurately
• Strong attention to detail and pride in producing clean welds
• Ability to inspect completed work for quality
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks
• Ability to lift and move materials as required
• Strong safety mindset
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Dependable attendance and strong work ethic

Job Duties

• MIG weld metal components according to job specifications
• Read and follow blueprints, work orders, and technical instructions
• Measure and position components before welding
• Use hand tools, angle grinders, and welding equipment safely
• Prepare and clean metal surfaces
• Inspect completed welds for quality and accuracy
• Identify and correct welding defects
• Grind and finish welded surfaces as needed
• Maintain consistent productivity throughout the shift
• Keep the work area clean, safe, and organized
• Follow all welding procedures and workplace safety requirements
