| Primary Purpose of Position |
The primary role is to support the Chief of Staff. |
| Minimum Education/Experience |
Required Minimum Qualifications:
Graduation from high school and three years of progressively responsible administrative/office management experience; or graduation from a two-year secretarial science or business administration program and one year of experience as described above; or graduation from a four-year college or university, preferably with major emphasis on Business administration or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

| Essential Job Duties |
Researches North Carolina law, University of North Carolina System policies, and
UNC Charlotte policies to respond to inquiries received by the Chief of Staff, as well as to support the Chief of Staff's scope of work. Applies program and institutional knowledge to draft reports, correspondence, and presentations on behalf of the Chief of Staff.
Maintains the administrator's calendar, schedules appointments without prior approval based on knowledge of the administrator's responsibilities and issues of importance. Locates and assembles information for various reports, briefings, and conferences.
Manages access to the Chief of Staff in a professional, diplomatic manner. Responds to inquiries and communicates instructions and information to internal and external stakeholders on behalf of the Chief of Staff, in a manner that is diplomatic, respectful, and concise. Builds positive relationships with others in the Office of the Chancellor and other University units. Consistently adheres to a strict code of confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions with others.
Maintains an active and accurate filing system to respond to inquiries and for research purposes, as well as to comply with state requirements for document preservation. Researches information when preparing correspondence, responding to inquiries, preparing presentations, and performing special projects and synthesizes information to develop recommendations and conclusions. |
