The Opportunity: We have an exciting opportunity for a commercial creditors' rights associate to join the Litigation team in our New York office. Our cohesive and collaborative team has a diverse and unique multidisciplinary practice that gives you the opportunity to work closely with shareholders and to participate in business development and client-facing activities. You have 2-4 years of bankruptcy experience; -
You have experience representing secured creditors, landlords, purchasers of assets, equipment lessors and fiduciaries in workouts, out-of-court restructurings and in all phases of Chapter 11 cases. -
You have substantive knowledge in, and experience with, creditors' rights and bankruptcy law, the Uniform Commercial Code (Articles 2, 2A and 9 in particular), equipment leasing, commercial finance law and general commercial litigation; -
You have deposition and case management experience, including the ability to appear in federal, state and bankruptcy courts, negotiate settlements and correspond with opposing counsel; -
You have strong oral and written communication skills, and can work effectively as part of a team and independently; and

ou have a J.D. degree (or its equivalent) and strong academic credentials and are admitted in (and in good standing with), or taking steps to become admitted in, New York.

Compensation:
- $230,000 - $285,000 annual base salary.
