What We're Looking For:

The Director of Strategic Sourcing, Procurement, and Contracting leads a centralized sourcing, procurement, contracting, and vendor management function within a complex, multi-location hospitality environment. This role drives enterprise-wide initiatives that deliver cost savings, quality improvements, operational efficiencies, and exceptional service to internal stakeholders. Responsibilities include developing sourcing strategies, evaluating suppliers, leading negotiations, managing contracts, and overseeing the procurement of goods and services that support hotel operations. The Director ensures compliance with company policies, budgets, and service standards while fostering strong supplier partnerships and business relationships. This position also provides leadership, training, mentoring, and professional development to build a high-performing sourcing and procurement team.

What You Will Do:

  • Lead the Sr. Manager, Sourcing & Contracting and Sr. Manager, Procurement, overseeing a team of 15 professionals.

  • Establish performance goals, delegate responsibilities, monitor progress, and provide coaching to ensure delivery of objectives.

  • Oversee hiring, onboarding, training, performance evaluations, and corrective action planning.

  • Develop and maintain training programs, materials, and competency standards for team members.

  • Drive the development and execution of enterprise sourcing strategies aligned with business objectives.

  • Direct spend analysis, market benchmarking, supplier cost modeling, and financial impact assessments.

  • Lead vendor selection initiatives and collaborate with operations, finance, legal, and executive leadership to implement sourcing strategies.

  • Build strong cross-functional partnerships to ensure alignment and support for procurement initiatives.

  • Oversee the RFP process, including vendor solicitation, bid evaluation, and final supplier selection.

  • Ensure sourcing and contracting activities are executed consistently, efficiently, and in accordance with established standards.

  • Direct negotiation strategies and contract execution to achieve cost savings, operational synergies, and risk mitigation.

  • Ensure agreements deliver quality, competitive pricing, clear terms, and measurable performance expectations.

  • Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement, operational efficiencies, and financial savings.

  • Track, validate, and communicate cost savings and synergies across business units.

  • Develop and manage strategic supplier relationships to ensure service excellence, quality, compliance, and value creation.

  • Lead vendor governance, performance management, issue resolution, quarterly business reviews, and contract implementations.

  • Serve as procurement process owner, establishing policies, procedures, service levels, and operational standards for a centralized procurement program.

  • Oversee procurement system integrity, purchase order processing, inventory and catalog management, invoice reconciliation, and customer service performance.

  • Own and manage the company's GPO relationship, ensuring compliance, maximizing rebates, and resolving vendor or contract issues.

  • Demonstrate leadership through integrity, accountability, effective communication, fiscal management, compliance oversight, auditing, and departmental administration.

Your Experience Includes:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Hospitality, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

  • 5+ years of progressive sourcing, procurement, contracting, or supply chain experience, including at least 2 years in strategic sourcing and contract management; hospitality experience preferred.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, financial modeling, and business process improvement skills with the ability to translate data into actionable recommendations.

  • Experience leading sourcing initiatives, RFPs, supplier evaluations, contract negotiations, and vendor management programs.

  • Knowledge of supply chain operations, procurement systems, sourcing methodologies, spend analysis, and strategic sourcing best practices.

  • Experience sourcing a broad range of products and services, including FF&E, F&B, IT, telecom, engineering, security, HR, housekeeping, operating supplies, and specialty services.

  • Proven leadership experience managing sourcing and contracting professionals and driving cross-functional initiatives.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; experience with Adaco, Epicor, or similar procurement systems preferred.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, customer service, and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.

  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, sound business judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively while maintaining confidentiality and delivering results within established timelines.
