Job Summary

The Project Manager is responsible for leading Agile project execution by facilitating Scrum processes, coordinating cross-functional teams, managing project risks and dependencies, and ensuring successful delivery of digital initiatives. This role partners closely with product owners, stakeholders, and development teams to maintain project alignment, optimize Agile practices, and drive continuous improvement throughout the project lifecycle.

Job Responsibilities



  • Lead Agile project execution using Scrum methodologies.
  • Facilitate Scrum ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Reviews, and Sprint Retrospectives.
  • Coordinate activities across multiple teams and manage project dependencies.
  • Identify project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and remove blockers impacting project delivery.
  • Monitor Agile metrics, including team velocity, sprint burndown, and overall project performance.
  • Partner with Product Owners to create, prioritize, and maintain the product backlog.
  • Ensure backlog items are accurately maintained with appropriate status, target dates, and links to features and epics.
  • Protect the development team from unnecessary interruptions to maximize productivity.
  • Foster collaboration, transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement across project teams.
  • Build a positive team environment that encourages open communication and problem-solving.
  • Guide teams in advancing Agile maturity through coaching and best practices.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across multiple departments to align project objectives and priorities.
  • Support change management initiatives through stakeholder communication, meeting facilitation, training support, and process improvements.
  • Identify gaps in project requirements, processes, or workflows and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.


Job Requirements



  • Minimum of 5 years of project management experience in an Agile environment.
  • Experience serving as a Scrum Master or leading Scrum teams.
  • Experience managing cross-functional digital or technology projects.
  • Experience working with stakeholders across multiple business units and project teams.
  • Experience using Agile project management tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar platforms.
  • Strong understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies.
  • Ability to manage project risks, dependencies, and competing priorities.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written, facilitation, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Experience supporting change management initiatives, including stakeholder communications and training, preferred.
  • Scrum Master certification preferred.
  • Experience in utility, data analytics, or related industries preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, hybrid work environment.


Education



  • Bachelor's degree required.
