SALARY: $125,000 to $138,800

Astrion has acontingentopening for aCyber Hunt Specialist supportingthe U.S. Navy'sNaval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD), located inDahlgren, VA. In this role, you will proactivelyidentifyand isolate hidden, advanced cyber threats that bypass automated defenses. You will investigate suspicious activity, hunt for advanced persistent threats (APTs), and translate complex threat intelligence into actionable detection analytics. Additionally, you will analyze network traffic, endpoint telemetry, and log data to detect anomalous activity, map adversary tactics to frameworks, and harden our overall security posture.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

  • Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering, or Mathematics with a concentration in computer science or equivalent
  • Five (5) years ofprofessional experience with cybersecurity engineeringprovidingexpertise forsupport of user requirements of complex tohighly complexsoftware/hardware applications, hunt methodologies, advanced actor campaigns and exploits and telemetry refinement related to Cyber
  • Capable ofparticipatingin all phases of incident response or huntmethodology(kill chain, pyramid of pain, diamond model).
  • Provide expert levelassistanceto Digital Forensics and Incident Response and threat intelligence operations teams on advanced actor tactics, techniques and procedures (TTPs) related to Cyber
  • Provide expertisefor support of user requirements of complex tohighly complexsoftware/hardware applications, hunt methodologies, advanced actor campaigns and exploits and telemetry refinement related to Cyber.
  • Provide assistance toDigital Forensics and Incident Response and threat intelligence operations teams on advanced actor TTPs related to Cyber.
  • Remaincurrent on industry direction, trends, and future capabilities with respect to cyber threat analytics.
  • This positionis required tobe designated as IAT II level with a T5.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

  • Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering, or Mathematics with a concentration in computer science or equivalent
  • CompTIA Security+, CompTIACySA+, or CCNA
