Bloomberg Associates(BA) is Bloomberg Philanthropies' pro bono consulting service founded by Michael R. Bloomberg, the 108th Mayor of New York City and Founder of Bloomberg LP, as a philanthropic venture. We provide services to cities that help governments improve the quality of life of their citizens.BA works across nine (9) different focus areas: Cultural Assets Management, Marketing & Communications, Media and Digital Strategies, Municipal Integrity, Social Services, Sustainability, Transportation, Economic Development and Urban Planning, with teams that have deep subject matter expertise and extensive experience in municipal government. Within the Sustainability practice, the Housing Team supports multiple client cities across a wide array of projects related to housing affordability broadly and municipal efforts to increase that affordability. The Positon The Housing Team is seeking a fellow to support the team on various housing projects across several client cities. Engagements with cities include projects such as housing program development, housing needs assessments, best practice research, and high-level strategic planning. The fellow should have an understanding of affordable housing policy and programming within municipal contexts to facilitate onboarding into projects within various cities. They should have a high level of comfort with data analysis, conducting desktop research and interviews, and developing presentation materials. This role is remote and part-time, working an average of 20 hours per week. The Fellow would be on a six-month contract. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
