Posting Summary
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Visiting Researcher within the Urology Oncology Division of the Rutgers Cancer Institute.

Under the direction of the principal Investigator, the Visiting Researcher will support the Urologic Oncology Department in data management, study recruitment, and IRB submissions and projects. The Visiting Researcher will also assist in developing protocols and managing study participant data and requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Perform data analysis and prepare manuscripts. Publish studies in collaboration with the team.
  • Regulatory Submission and IRB/SRB Approval: Manage, organize, and prepare regulatory documentation and submissions, primarily for institutional, multi-institutional, or collaborative industry translational projects. Communicate with IRB/SRB and regulatory staff and investigators.
  • Streamline submissions of data use and material transfer agreements, optimizing collaboration with industry or other institutions for clinical and translational projects.
  • Maintain database. Manage prospective registries for bladder, prostate, and kidney cancer, focusing on nonmuscle invasive bladder cancer. Coordinate with biobank to summarize inventories of specimens for use in translational studies.
  • Recruit participants for the study. Assist in identification, consenting, and enrollment of patients.
  • Monitor and collect study participant data. Works with study participants to ensure they complete patient questionnaires Case Report Forms.
  • Assist in development of protocols for the investigator-initiated studies. Prepare, evaluate and analyze Case Report Forms in print and electronically using RedCap and other data management systems.
  • Prepares weekly urologic oncology regulatory status reports; provides updates on patient accrual, as well as ongoing abstracts, publications, and grants. This will aid in maximizing productivity of the Division.
