The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience. The RWJBarnabas Health Behavioral Health Center, in collaboration with Monmouth Medical Center Southern Campus Behavioral Health Services, is a freestanding 100-bed acute care psychiatric facility. It provides inpatient and intensive outpatient programs for adults and older adults diagnosed with psychiatric and co-occurring disorders. The Behavioral Health Center is structured to deliver specialized care across each of its units, including Short-Term Care, Adult Psych, and Kimball Northeast/Voluntary, ensuring tailored treatment to meet diverse patient needs. Short-Term Care Unit: is designed for individuals experiencing an acute psychiatric crisis. This unit primarily serves patients with serious mental illness who require stabilization, intensive assessment, and rapid treatment intervention. Job Overview: The Safety Care Associate is a Patient Care Associate with experience working with dual-diagnosis patients who will have a primary focus on ensuring the safe milieu of the unit. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: conducting mandatory Q15 patient safety checks, environmental safety rounds, 1:1 patient safety watches, assisting with group facilitation and the search and logging of patient belongings. Under the direct supervision of the unit director or designee, the Safety Care Associate will assist with providing direct patient care and reinforcing Safety Together core values and implementing safety initiatives and will participate as a member of the Workplace Violence committee. All methods of practice and/or work performance shall conform to written established hospital policies and procedures and be carried to the highest achievable level of competence in a manner demonstrating concern and consideration.
