POSITION OVERVIEW

The Chief Engineer oversees daily operations and maintenance of the health campus, ensures compliance with environmental and safety programs, and manages equipment installations and preventative maintenance. Coordinates renovations, remodels, and new construction with contractors, ensuring adherence to federal and state regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversees the activities of the Plant Operations Maintenance Department to ensure the safe functionality of the campus environment, thereby promoting the health, welfare, safety, and satisfaction of residents, families, and employees.
  • Ensures the campus physical plant adheres to all federal, state and location laws and regulations.
  • Diagnoses, evaluates, inspects and repairs & installs heating/air conditioning systems for the purpose of repair and/or replacement needs. Focusing on preventive maintenance solutions.
  • Performs routine and preventative maintenance as needed for the purpose of ensuring the ongoing functioning of HVAC systems.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED/HSE preferred
  • 5-8 years of relevant experience preferred
  • Type I and Type II Refrigerant certifications preferred
  • NATE (North American Technician Excellence) Certification or applicable HVAC certifications preferred
